**Data Scientist (m/w/d) - Commercial Analytics & Data Readiness**

**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide measurable insights into commercial strategies and tactics for our key pharma brands (in particular oncology and ophthalmology) in the German market
- Utilize advanced analytics and statistical techniques as well as visualizations to derive condensed actionable insights that support business decision-making
- Work with analytics translators to engage with local business stakeholders from marketing & sales to understand their advanced analytics needs and to drive adoption and integration of analytics solutions within the local market
- Develop and execute classical statistical analysis (time series analysis, cluster analysis, discriminant analysis, multivariate regression, hypothesis testing etc.) as well as advanced analytics models (for Marketing Mix Analysis, Advanced Segmentation & Targeting, Personalized communication, Engagement Optimization, etc.)
- Work with local and global data stewards to create sustainable data structures for analytics use cases but also leverage ad hoc (raw) data sources which require cleaning
- Co-create commercial analytics use cases as pathfinder and end-2-end business solutions with global data experts and external consultants

**WHO YOU ARE**
- (Post-)graduate degree (Master/Ph.D) in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics/Natural Sciences, Management Science, Computer Science, Finance, etc.)
- Initial experience in advanced analytics work and programming
- Previous work experience in pharmaceutical industry or health care consulting is an asset, a general understanding of the pharma market and its customer universes is a strong asset
- Experience incorporating several of the following: trend/season timeseries and forecasting techniques, multivariate promotional response modeling and resource optimization, and/or decision analysis, clustering analytics, mixed-effect models, hypothesis testing, tree-based models
- Expertise in cleaning and combining data from different sources such as Snowflake (e.g. via SQL)
- Understanding of pharma commercial activity and sales data incl. the logic, structures and units of their sources (e.g. Veeva CRM, market data vendors like IQVIA etc.) is a strong asset
- Analysis and modelling skills in R or Python and, as an asset, visualization skills in Tableau
- Willingness to progress in analytical and technical areas as well as in communication and presentation skills and in fostering a strategic business acumen
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) is required, German knowledge (written and spoken) is preferable
