Localization Specialist Brazilian Portuguese/italian

This role will focus on the internationalization, localization, and linguistic testing of Fiery products. Internationalization testing ensures that the software works uniformly across all regions of the world. Localization testing includes reviewing the localized software for a specific country or region to make sure it is appropriate. Linguistic testing involves checking for linguistic and cultural correctness for the target language.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Execute internalization, localization, and linguistic testing
- Enter clear and concise linguistic issues into database
- Review of English source strings
- Review in a TMS and suggest correct translations
- Troubleshoot issues and identify root causes
- Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints
- Influence and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff
- Install and uninstall specific software and builds, work with virtual and actual test machines
- Classify defects in terms of severity, urgency, importance and impact
- Communicate and coordinate localization testing with remote and local teams
- Participate in bug review processes including identifying, documenting and following through on the defect lifecycle

**Essential Skills and Qualifications**:

- Language skills in the following languages: Brazilian Portuguese and Italian plus fluency in English (company language) is a must.
- BS/BA in Translation, Linguistics, Computer Science, or other related disciplines
- 1-2-year experience in software testing or equivalent school projects is a plus
- Proficiency in PC and MAC environments
- Experience with Jira and XTM is a plus
- Rapid comprehension of technical aspects, knowledge of software development/lifecycle and understanding of the impact of changes
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and can-do attitude
- Exceptional logic, problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a group and to prioritize work when necessary
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to thrive in a virtual and fast-paced environment
