Summary

We are looking for a “Commissioning and Service Technician (f/m/d)” for the “Integration & Service Ground Based Systems” department at the Oberkochen site as soon as possible.

The “Integration & Service Ground Based Systems” department offers a broad and interesting range of tasks and is responsible for the commissioning, acceptance and service of periscopes and stabilized platforms (e.g. Leopard 2 or Puma infantry fighting vehicle) in the factory as well as on site at the customer's premises worldwide.

Our optronic products are used worldwide by armed forces and security personnel for surveillance, identification and classification as well as for high-precision measurement, evaluation, target acquisition and self-protection.

Your Tasks- Commissioning and servicing of complex precision mechanical and optoelectronic devices, in some cases with a high software component- Acceptance of installations and systems- Analysis of faults and implementation of solutions to problems- Carrying out customer repairs both in the factory and on site at the customer's premises- Creation of customer and device documentation (test reports, acceptance documentation, error logs, diagnostic reports)- Collaboration in the creation of service and test instructions as well as adaptations of test software or equipment- Carrying out and ensuring the necessary quality inspections in cooperation with the assembly department

Willingness to carry out service activities for customers at home and abroad is a prerequisite.

Your Profile- Completed technical vocational training and further training as a state-certified technician (specializing in mechatronics / electronics) or comparable- Solid knowledge in the assembly of optoelectronic devices- Soldering and bonding skills, ideally certified soldering, bonding and crimping training- Programming knowledge advantageous- Confident handling of software tools and device software- Independent, precise and structured way of working and enjoy working in a team- Confident appearance with customers and confident interaction with internal interface partners- Fluent German and good English skills
