**Director Operations Germany (M/F/d)**
**at our location in Emmingen.**

In this position, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end operations processes at the site level, accountable for setting strategies and managing the operations team to achieve results as well as employee well-being, productivity, cost control, product delivery and quality.

**Your scope of essential duties and responsibilities**:

- Lead the operations team by defining the operations vision, assessing gaps and defineing key performance targets to meet strategic objectives
- Aligns manufacturing operations measures to meet or exceed site, division and global business objectives
- Develop and maintain an effective organization through the selection, training, development, compensation and motivation of operations manufacturing team, recommend and approve organizational structures and staffing requirements to support the company's business objectives
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement to optimize productivity and capacity, execute continuous improvement initiatives including determination goal setting and proejct selection and execution
- Leadership of the manufacturing teams infusing quality and lean principals; support kaizen to improve the value add process
- Communicate with all individuals or teams as necessary to ensure all associates have a clear understanding of company direction, goal and activity specific to achieve of objectives
- Develop and lead associates through active coaching and target setting while cultivating a self-directed, engaged and results-orientied team culture
- Develop capacity plans to meet short-term production schedules and support long-term growth forecasts
- Taking the lead role in building in-house capabilities, serve on expansion projects and acquisition teams to support growth objectives
- Monitor metrics and ensure the use of control plans, corrective actions and root cause tools to drive performance improvement
- Develop, allocate and work within established budgets, managing activities to control spend and maximize profits
- Provide analysis and input in development of business plans to achieve best-in-class operations, including investment requests (CapEx) and return on investment
- Drive employee health and safety (EHS) and 5S/6S programs and GMP compliance throughout the facility
- Ensure that all organizational activities and operations are in compliance with applicable regulations and laws governing business operations

**Your qualification**:

- Proven ability to recruit, train and motivate stuff to balance staffing levels with profitability and growth
- Experience in warehouse and shipping operations
- Mastery of root cause problem solving skills and tools
- Previous management experience
- Continuous improvement philosophy; previous lean enterprise and/or six sigma experience strongly preferred
- High personal execution capability and proactive skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Confident command of written and spoken German and English
