STS Government Solutions, LLC is seeking a Physiatrist
**Location**: Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC), Germany

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Degree: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from a Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) approved school of medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an American Osteopathic Association (AOA) approved school of osteopathic medicine, or a medical or osteopathy school acceptable to the Surgeon General.
- Education: Graduate from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association; Association of American Medical Colleges; Liaison Committee on Medical Education; Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S.

Department of Education and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) at the time the degree was obtained (e.g. Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). A Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school must provide education and medical knowledge substantially equivalent to accredited schools in the United States. Evidence of equivalency to accredited schools in the United States is demonstrated by permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, a fifth pathway certificate for Americans who completed premedical education in the United States and graduate education in a foreign country, or successful completion of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination.
- Certification: Board certified Physiatrist.
- An internship program involves broadly based clinical practice in which physicians acquire experience in treating a variety of medical problems under supervision (e.g., internal medicine, surgery, general practice, obstetrics
- gynecology, and pediatrics). Such programs are in hospitals or other institutions accredited for internship training an appropriate accrediting body.
- A residency program involves training in a specialized field of medicine in a hospital or an institution accredited for training in the specialty by an appropriate accrediting body.
- A fellowship program involves advanced training (beyond residency training) in a given medical specialty in either a clinical or research setting in a hospital, or an institution accredited in the United States for such training.
- Experience: As required to meet clinical competency requirements specified in the Service-specific credentialing instructions. Have a minimum of 12 months of experience in physical medicine, occupational medicine, or flight and operational medicine within the past 36 months.
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine as a Physiatrist.

**Core Duties**:Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to**:

- Knowledge of and alignment of work with all applicable DHA Directives, Medical Center Policies, standard work, etc. to ensure appropriate completion of assigned work.
- An integral member of the Interdisciplinary PM&R/PM Team, Interdisciplinary Amputee Clinic Team and Rehabilitation Service Team as needed in the delivery of care for patients
- Familiar with and adheres to the Medical Staff Bylaws of this facility. Provide reference.
- Provides patient care in the PM&R clinic, other clinics as determined by departmental need, as well as by incumbent's procedural skills and interest (e.g. procedure clinic for joint/soft tissue injections including use of ultrasound, EMG, etc), and inpatient care on the inpatient unit/inpatient consults.
- Provide physiatry services as specified in his/her clinical privileges. Services include new patient consultation, established (follow up) visits, musculoskeletal procedures (joint/soft tissue injections) including use of ultrasound. Experience with EMG and botulinum toxin injection including with use of EMG guidance is ideal, but not required.
- Responsible for providing the patient with risks, benefits and alternative treatments and securing the informed consent of the patient/family needed before conducting invasive procedures.
- Evaluates the patient to assess any changes in the physical status and make recommendations for continued care as needed.
- Provide recommendations and works with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care to provide optimal functioning, decrease level of pain, and improve quality of life
- Collaborates with the Coordinators of the Polytrauma/TBI, amputee, EMG and procedure clinics providing coverage for these clinics when there is a need.
- Makes recommendations to Rehabilitation Service Chief regarding all resource management issues, including equipment, space, and educational opportunities etc.
- Consults requesting Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation services are performed in a timely manner and that the results
