**Description**

SAIC is seeking a qualified Fighter Pilot or Fighter WSO to support the US Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation (AFAMS) program in Kaiserslautern, Germany.

AFAMS is the premier agency responsible for implementation, integration, and development of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and training and analysis standards that support the US Air Force (USAF), Department of Defense (DoD), and mission partners requiring these capabilities to support the Warfighter in full-spectrum operations.

This position supports the USAFE-AFAFRICA Warfare Center (UAWC) at Einsiedlerhof AS, Germany. The Fighter Pilot or Fighter WSO SME will:

- Conduct simulated air operations during exercises in missions that include 5 Gen / 4 Gen Fighter Integration (FI), Offensive Counterair (OCA), Defense Counterair (DCA), Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD), Suppression of Enemy Air Defense (SEAD), Air Interdiction (AI), Close Air Support (CAS), Strike Coordination and Reconnaissance (SCAR), Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR), Dynamic Targeting (DT).
- Facilitate the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) with warfighters including exercise scenario development, mission planning, mass briefs, mission briefs, execution, debriefs, analysis, and after-action reports.
- Develop exercise documents including Air Operations Directives (AOD), Air Tasking Orders (ATO), Airspace Control Plans (ACP), Airspace Control Orders (ACO), Area Air Defense Plans (AADP), Special Instructions (SPINs), and mission execution products.
- Execute blue, red, and white force roles in simulation systems that include Next Generation Threat System (NGTS), Modern Air Combat Environment (MACE), Air Warfare Simulation (AWSIM), F-35 Effects Based Simulator (EBS), Future Force Experimentation Air Defense Simulation (FFEADS).
- Prepare, coordinate, and present USAF, Joint, and Allied air warfare briefings, support academic development and instruction, and lead air warfare discussions with a wide range of audiences as requested by the US Government.

**Qualifications**

Required Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
- Rated Fighter Pilot or Fighter WSO with operational experience within 5 years, and with a minimum of 10 years of operational experience.
- Minimum of 200 hours of flight instructor or flight evaluator experience.
- Waiver of experience / qualification requirements may be addressed by the UAWC/CC and approved by the FEDSIM COR.
- Security Clearance: Secret. Eligible for Top Secret / SCI

Desired Experience
- USAF Weapons School graduate (or US Navy equivalent).
- USAF mission commander.
- Air Operations Center experience.
- Knowledge of the Joint Operations Planning Process (JOPP).
- Knowledge of US Joint doctrine and USAF doctrine.
- Familiarity with Joint and Allied operations and exercises.
