**Duties**:
- Conduct Industrial Hygiene complete evaluations of work operations involving potentially hazardous environmental conditions.
- Identify potential health problems and symptoms indicating possible occupational diseases resulting from the work environment.
- Completes the Health Haszard Inventory form using data collected during walk-though surveys and/or evaluations.
- Utilize standard chemical and physical sampling techniques for laboratory analysis and evaluations.
- Prepares, conducts industrial hygiene training.
- Prepare technical reports identifying health hazards and recommending measures for their reduction or elimination.

- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements as outlined in the DoD Instruction 1315.19.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required
- This position has specific initial background investigation and periodic re-verification requirements since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age on a recurring basis.
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
- All Health Care Providers must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) training and certification that is sponsored or endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Current Advanced Life Support or other advanced certification does not supersede BLS completion.
- A pre-placement medical examination is required. This position has a requirement to lift up to 40 lbs. in the regular performance of duties
- Applicants must be able to fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges.
- This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- This position requires you to obtain a valid US Army in Europe (USAREUR) Driver's License. You must be in possession of a valid state driver's license in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles AND pass a written exam.
- This position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess, or obtain and maintain, a valid regular or official U.S. Passport.

- **Basic Requirement for Industrial Hygienist**:
**Degree**: A bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree in industrial hygiene, occupational health sciences, occupational and environmental health, toxicology, safety sciences, or related science. The education must be accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.

- A bachelor's degree in a branch of engineering, physical science, or life science that included 12 semester hours in chemistry, including organic chemistry, and 18 additional semester hours of courses in any combination of chemistry, physics, engineering, health physics, environmental health, biostatistics, biology, physiology, toxicology, epidemiology, or industrial hygiene. The education must be accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
- OR**Certification**: A certificate from the American Board of Industrial Hygiene.**Evaluation of Education**: All science or engineering courses offered in fulfillment of the above requirements must be acceptable for credit toward the completion of a standard 4-year professional curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree in science or engineering at an accredited college or university. For engineering degrees to be acceptable, the curriculum must be in a school of engineering with at least one curriculum accredited by the ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) as a professional engineering curriculum.- Such work must have involved experience in all of the following areas: the acquisition of quantitative and qualitative data, and the measurement of exposures for a variety of chemical, physical, and biological stresses; the analysis of the data acquired and the prediction of probable effects of exposures on the health and well-being of workers; and the selection and recommendation of appropriate controls, including management, medical, engineering, education or training, and personal protective equipment.**In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the q
