Associate Accountant

(M/F/X) FULL-TIME

The accountant will be supporting a team on all accounting activities for the European legal entities and period end closing activities. In addition, the accountant will contribute and support the day
- to day activities in the finance department resulting in reports and financial statements compliance with local and group accounting principles and regulations. The accountant will be responsible for creating customer invoices and relating communications.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Independent billing to all customers
- Processing of accounts receivable incl. collections and reconciliation/booking of payments received
- Support during period end closing
- Account assignment and posting of accounts payable
- Control and booking of credit card statement
- Bank account reconciliation and direct posting of bank account statements
- Support for the order processing team
- Support finance projects
- Perform control of Travel Expense Report for compliance with fiscal requirements and internal procedures
- Prepare payment proposal by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements
- Participate in special projects representing Finance (i.e., IT system upgrade)
- Filing

**SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS**:

- Min 3 years professional training in finance
- First work experience in finance
- and accounting
- Good MS Excel skills
- Fluency in German and has good command of written and spoken English
- Attention to details, proactivity, and flexibility
- Teamwork and cross functional skills
- Knowledge of Sage 100 and/or Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
