For a friendly, easy-going family living in Berlin Gesundbrunnen, we are looking for a a **speaker of English (with German a plus)** to care for their child (**4mo**) from Monday to Friday, with some flexibility.
The family is looking for a Nanny to look after the child either Monday-Friday from roughly 12:00-17:00, or another possible schedule could be Mon-Wed 12:00-17:00, Friday 12:00-17:00 and Saturday 10:00-15:00 (total hours and exact schedule can be set depending on Nanny preference).
The Nanny will be tasked with childcare duties, facilitating naps, supporting with breastfeeding, introducing solids and taking the child outside for daily walks. Some days it would be helpful to the family if the Nanny offered support with household in lieu of childcare as the mother would like to spend time with the baby; on these days the Nanny will be tasked with grocery shopping, laundry, simple cooking and vacuuming.
You will spend hours with the child at home or outdoors, depending on the weather.
There is some flexibility with the schedule to fit the needs of the Nanny but would like for it to be a fixed long term schedule. Duties include providing a safe and nurturing environment for the child, being proactive in researching and organizing stimulating, age-appropriate activities, preparing healthy meals and providing a nurturing environment to further his development.
KiTa is planned to start August 2023; it would be helpful for the Nanny to support through the Eingewöhnungsphase but Nanny will still be employed in the long term. The family is looking to build a close, long term relationship with the Nanny. Hours are expected to remain the same and the family is looking to find someone who will settle in Berlin and stay with them in a long-term engagement.
A solid daily routine has been established for the child, the home's atmosphere is calm and the family hope to find an experienced, long term carer to support them in maintaining their systems. The family is playful, have an open communication style and like to spend time outdoors, at the same time they are firm with routines and respectful behaviour.
The family is happy to also contribute towards a travel card.
This is a long-term position from **25 hours** per week.
Compensation on offer starts at **2500 EUR gross per month or 20€ per hour for a freelance Nanny**depending on your experience and qualifications (negotiable, together with extra holiday allowance and other perks).
