**Field Service Technician (gn)**

The Field Service Technician will support Plug Powers fuel cell products currently installed in electric lift trucks, including performing preventative maintenance and resolving breakdowns. You should have the ability to think in solutions

You will be responsible for the installation servicing a fleet of fuel cells, reporting breakdown events, parts ordering and maintenance of fuel cells. In addition, you will be the main point of contact for Plug Power with the client and personnel, so this position requires an individual with both excellent technical skills and exceptionally strong communication, interpersonal and motivational skills. You will also be required to provide feedback internally within Plug Power.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Maintenance and service of fuel cells at the client site.
- Providing onsite support and maintaining/building a strong relationship with the client and other employees.
- Performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain the fleet at customer locations.
- Performing specialized service procedures, including field retrofits and software and hardware upgrades to existing fuel cells.
- Providing emergency support service as required.
- Purchasing tools, equipment, and parts.
- Troubleshooting and maintenance of high-pressure hydrogen storage, delivery and fueling systems.
- Maintaining ongoing communication with customer personnel hydrogen suppliers regarding aftermarket support of fuel cells.
- Providing regular feedback to regional service representatives regarding fuel cell performance and field maintenance issues
- Completing administrative duties & documentation, including incident reports, service logs, inventory maintenance and site and system documentation.
- Exhibiting and enforcing safety procedures in the field or customer sites.
- Maintain stock and repair capabilities.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on H2 Supply System (if installed by Plug Power)

- Ability to read and understand written instructions, engineering drawings and piping & instrumentation diagrams in English.

- Clear, precise written communicator.
- Creativity in solving technical problems - thinks out of the box.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Punctual and reliable.

**Required Experience**
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework
- Three or more years direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. Formal training and education may be also considered in lieu of direct experience.
- Must possess a valid EU driving license and a clean driving record.

**Position-Zusammenfassung**

Der Servicetechniker wird unsere Brennstoffzellenprodukte, die derzeit in elektrischen Gabelstaplern verbaut werden, unterstützen, und die vorbeugende Wartung und die Behebung von Störungen durchführen. Diese Position wird für die Installation und den Service von Brennstoffzellen an einem bestimmten Standort, sowie die Meldung von Störfällen, die Bestellung von Ersatzteilen und die Wartung von Brennstoffzellen verantwortlich sein. Diese Position erfordert ein hohes Maß an Kontakt zu Kundenpersonal und den Bedienern von elektrischen Gabelstaplern und muss daher von einer Person mit ausgezeichneten technischen Fähigkeiten sowie Kommunikations-, zwischenmenschlichen und motivierenden Fähigkeiten besetzt werden.

**Kernaufgaben und Verantwortlichkeiten**
- Wartung und Service von Brennstoffzellen beim Kunden.
- Durchführung von Diagnosen, Fehlersuche und Auswertungen zur Instandhaltung der Flotte an einem bestimmten Standort.
- Durchführung spezieller Serviceverfahren, einschließlich Nachrüstungen vor Ort und Software
- und Hardware-Aufrüstung für bestehende Brennstoffzellen.
- Bereitschaftsdienst und Notfall-Betreuung für Kunden nach Bedarf
- Einkauf von Werkzeugen, Geräten und Teilen für den Kundendienst und Betreuung nach Bedarf.
- Kann Fehlersuche und Wartung von Hochdruck-Wasserstoffspeicher-, 480VAC-, Entflammbarkeits-, Tieftemperaturflüssigkeits-, Hochdruckgas
- und Betankungssystemen erfordern.
- Kann laufende Kommunikation mit dem Kundenpersonal und den Wasserstofflieferanten bezüglich der After-Market-Betreuung von Brennstoffzellen miteinschließen.
- Regelmäßiges Feedback an die regionalen Service-Manager bezüglich der Leistung der Brennstoffzellen und der Wartungsprobleme im Außendienst.
