We are looking for a **Head of Operational Excellence & Transformation (M/F/d) **to lead our convention management and business transformation team in our German affiliate organization **in Monheim am Rhein**, **Germany.**

**About the role**

You are responsible to develop and implement operational strategies and to manage and mentor both the Business Transformation and Convention Management & Project Support team. You are driving strategic change initiatives increasing impact, synergies and efficiency while ensuring the successful execution of large-scale congresses, events and business projects. This involves aligning transformation goals with business objectives, optimizing operational efficiency and managing stakeholder relationships across both functions. You provide a best-in-class customer experience with a holistic approach serving patients, health care professionals and payers.

**Who you´ll work with**

You are part of the German Leadership Team. This role requires an intensive cross-functional collaboration with Business Teams incl. Medical and Commercial Teams, Talent and I2I on local, EU and Global level.

**What you´ll do**
- ** Strategic Planning & Change Management**: Lead efforts to identify, plan, and execute transformative initiatives across the business. This may involve process improvements, digital transformation, or organizational changes aimed at improving efficiency and competitiveness
- ** Performance Metrics & KPIs**: Define and monitor performance and outcome indicators to assess the impact of customer-related and transformation projects, ensuring they deliver value and meet strategic objectives
- ** Sustainable Event Planning & Execution**: Oversee the planning, organization, and management of conventions, meetings, and other corporate events, ensuring that logístical and operational aspects are executed seamlessly and sustainability targets are accomplished
- ** Budget & Resource Management**: Manage event budgets, vendor contracts, and ensure efficient allocation of resources for both conventions and related projects
- ** Project Coordination & Support**: Ensure that Project Support team is managing timelines, providing deliverables, and cross-functional collaboration to support the business
- ** Guidance & Leadership**: Provide leadership to both teams, mentoring them through complex change processes, ensuring effective implementation of initiatives and fostering a collaborative environment that promotes high performance to maximize synergies and streamline processes

- ** Team Leadership**: Ability to lead diverse teams, inspire performance, and manage cross-functional team dynamics
- ** Change Leadership**: Skilled in guiding teams through transformation initiatives, ensuring buy-in, and managing resistance to change
- ** Strategic Planning**: Strong skills in setting clear objectives, aligning transformation initiatives with business targets, and anticipating future trends
- ** Business Acumen**: Understanding of market trends, business dynamics, and how different functions contribute to overall success
- ** Project Coordination**: Expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring that deadlines and quality standards are met
- ** Communication**: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in **English and German**, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences
