Geography, Chair of Sedimentary Systems and Resources, invites appplications for the following position,
starting at the next possible date and limited to 3 years:
Doctoral Researcher (m-f-d)
as part-time employment (66%).
The salary will be up to pay group 13 TV-L (66%), if the personal requirements and tasks are fulfilled.
**Tasks**:
Lower Pleistocene tidal systems
- Drone surveying, creation and interpretation of 3D outcrop models
- Geochemical, petrographic and statistical analyses and data elaboration
- Presentation of research results at national and international conferences
- Publication of research results in peer-reviewed international scientific journals
- Teaching courses in sedimentology
The opportunity to complete your own scientific qualification as part of a doctorate is given
**Requirements**:
- Completed university degree (diploma or MSc) in geology or related disciplines
- Prior experience in sedimentology and/or fieldwork is necessary
- Experience with drone mapping and 3D outcrop models or willingness to learn
- Experience with sedimentary petrography and microfacies is a plus
- Driving license class B is required
- Fluency in written and spoken English, German language skills are an advantage
- Very good co-operation and teamwork skills are required
