The Fraunhofer Research Institution for Energy Infrastructures and Geothermal Energy IEG conducts research at eight locations in the fields of integrated energy infrastructures, geothermal energy and sector coupling for a successful energy transition. Our research facility conducts applied research, develops innovative technologies for public and industrial clients, and translates these into marketable products and processes.

**What you do with us**
- Participating in the design and execution of field and laboratory experiments
- Analyzing and interpreting field and laboratory data to develop new knowledge and understanding of carbonate reservoirs in geothermal systems
- Outreach, communication and publication of research papers in international scientific journals
- Participating in joint PhD program and completing all necessary coursework and milestones

**What you bring with you**
- Master’s degree in reservoir geology, preferentially carbonates, resource management or a related field in geosciences and engineering
- Background in carbonate reservoir geology and geothermal systems
- First experience with field and laboratory work
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- and success-based variable compensation components. The position is initially limited to 3 years. The weekly working time is 39 hours. The position can also be filled on a part-time basis.
