Technical Buyer

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Sourcing Specialist that will be (overall) responsible to secure the supply of products and services to Company supplier and distributor of industrial components within the strategy as set by the Category Manager.

**Must Have**:

- min 3 years of related working/procurement experience in fields of supply chain, engineering, or manufacturing
- C2 German AND B2 English
- Full-time available and living in a close distance to Augsburg are
- Experience in the processes in managing RFQ’s

Nice to have:

- Experience and insight into sourcing processes
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems would be desirable

**What You Will Do**:

- Work on-site at the office (in Augsburg) at least 3-days per week, full working day, with flexible start between 7-10.
- Handles requests for item information and supplier quotations from Customer Service.
- Contacts suppliers regarding open RFQ’s, item information and all other supplier related information i.r.t. operational support. (stock level, alternatives)
- Handle sourcing activities (in full or parts) for projects within our business phases: “widening, deepening & acquisition”, “Implementation” and “Service Delivery”.
- Negotiates with suppliers to meet quality, delivery and cost objectives.
- Work with Category Manager in understanding the global spend and identifying opportunities to increase quality and improve value for money
- Support the Quotation Desk in sourcing activities for larger customer quotations and sales price list extensions.
- Supports CSO department in operational escalations with the supplier
- Receive, file and check the compliance requests
