R&D Team Lead

**Your role and responsibilities**:
We will support you in the final phase of your bachelor or master’s degree course. Compile your practically-oriented thesis with us, and seize the opportunity to gain insights into an international group. ABB will provide you with wide-ranging, professional and expert support to bring your thesis to a successful conclusion. The financial support we can offer includes a utilization bonus for your thesis The following tasks and responsibilities will be part of your role: - Modelling of weak grids with heterogenous devices and loads - Analysis of the influence of different control parameters and operation of power electronics to grid stability in weak power grids - Explore methods for improving grid stability - Simulation with appropriate software

**Qualifications for the role**:

- Study in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
- Experience in dynamic modeling of power electronics in dq coordinates and power system dynamics
- Strong understanding of system theory
- Proficient in both German and English
- Familiar with scientific research methods
- Reliable, able to work independently, and strong in open communication
