Slow is an experimental hospitality collective with places in Germany, Mexico, Portugal and beyond. Devoted to the cultivation of arts, crops and inner gardens, we are headquartered at Flussbad, our riverside creative campus that will begin its phased opening in 2023 on the banks of the Spree in Berlin’s Rummelsburg neighborhood.

Creative and driven with editorial chops and a sharp eye for compelling copy, the Managing Editor will support our Editor in Chief to drive editorial, communications and content marketing across multiple platforms and communication channels. They will edit, report and write original stories for our editorial platform Slowness, collaborating with the Photo Editor and Creative Team, and will collaborate with the team on brand development of our places and projects. The role will also include writing and editing newsletters and social media copy for Slow, as well as for the Places within our expanding hospitality portfolio, beginning with Tulum Treehouse and our Friends of a Farmer program in Portugal and expanding in 2023 to our new creative campus Flussbad in Berlin and lake retreat in the Uckermark.

We are going into an exciting year with three openings and two program launches, where content and culture will play a crucial role in positioning and brand awareness. This position is a great opportunity to become a core member of a young and expanding team at an early stage in the company’s development.

**Tasks include**:

- Support the Editor in Chief in strategically developing story ideas that highlight and complement Slow’s projects.
- Coordinate with Photo Editor, Creative Director and freelancers to execute content packages.
- Grow the big-picture vision and voice of Slow by developing storytelling across our content platforms, including newsletters and social media.
- Support the team in brand development, helping to create and position unique, contemporary-minded hospitality concepts and community programs that meet the needs and desires of our target demographic.
- Deliver sharp, compelling copy as needed for our internal and external communications and collateral, including for fundraising presentations, press releases and media inquiries.
- Find the best way to document and share Slow’s activities, including new openings and cultural programming, reporting on events, researching and interviewing protagonists, or when necessary, assigning these tasks to a freelancer.
