**What we seek**
- You have a Ph.D. **degree in economics, information systems or a related field of study** or are expected to obtain your degree soon.
- Very good analytical skills and most importantly a **keen interest in experimental economics and the economics of digital markets and the digital economy**.
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team, open-mindedness, and the motivation to work on a research project independently and diligently.
- Excellent spoken and written English language skills. Knowledge of German is not a requirement.
**What we offer**
- The position is a fixed-term appointment for three years, with a possibility of extension pending successful evaluation. The starting date for the appointment can be set upon mutual agreement, but should be no later than **1st April 2024**. A conversion to an indefinite position (tenured) is not possible.
- The chair is involved in several large-scale research projects with national and international partners and regularly hosts leading international scholars.
- Dedicated supervision and mentorship with a proven track-record. This has resulted in publications in leading academic journals, such as Management Science, Information Systems Research and Management Information Systems Quarterly. Previous postdoctoral researchers have advanced to assistant and full professorships in Information Systems.
- **Own research budget** for conference visits and hiring student workers to assist with research.
- **No formal teaching obligation**, but possibility to participate in and contribute to the Chair’s teaching portfolio.
- You will participate regularly in international conferences, become integrated into an international research network and contribute to the national and international political discourse on the regulation of the digital economy.
- Excellent infrastructure, including the Chair's own experimental laboratory, on one of the most beautiful university campuses in Germany.
