Kardex Remstar is looking for a Senior Director Product Management "Smart Machines and Standardized Logistics Systems" (M/F/d) to join our growing team.

Preferably the position will be filled in our office in Neuburg an der Kammel (Germany), also possible as hybrid working model. Nonetheless a fully remote or a hybrid model near one of our other offices can be considered, as well.

The Senior Director Product Management Smart Machines and Standardized Logistics Systems is responsible for all the product planning and execution of our product and system portfolio including own
- and third-party logistics equipment, accessories and supplementary materials and the standardized logistic systems, all through the lifecycle of the products and systems.

He/she must initiate, capture, nurture, promote, manage, and deliver new products, systems and services to the customers with deep respect to financial and customer satisfaction objectives and enjoy large freedom to act.

Ihre Aufgaben- Provide leadership to departments under control and coach, mentor and develop direct reports and manage a high performing team- Drive the development and updating of annual product and system development budget plans to ensure appropriate allocation of resources to the product families, standardized systems and new developments- Define and coordinate with relevant stakeholder from management the product and systems vision, goals, and strategies and communicates it in the entire Remstar organization to effectively align teams across functions and hierarchies- Renew, expand and change the product and system portfolio in accordance with the strategic directions of Remstar and the Kardex Group- Oversee multiple product management processes, establish priorities, and coordinate with teams to create schedules and road maps throughout the product life cycle- Maintain an entrepreneurial perspective in all processes and develop budgets based on forecasts- Ensure that schedules and roadmaps are followed with considerations for new short-term requirements and their effects on long-term plans- Monitor backlogs, optimize existing processes, define new ones, and encourage best practices- Guide and collaborate with teams through changes and iterations to be made to already distributed products- Identify, manage, and mitigate risks in respect to the product and system portfolio and its business goals- Constantly coordinate with business stakeholders to drive growth in the product’s market share- Exhibit a deep understanding of our customers’ needs and reinforce a user-centric approach to its team members- Create and develop products that not only address unmet customer needs and incorporate market trends, but products users will also love- Meet with customers to gather information and feedback- Pounce on opportunities by staying updated with trends, industry standards, and evolving market and customer needs- Constantly collaborate with other departments to build trust and understanding

Ihr Profil- A Masters's degree in in Automation, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or similar required- Post graduate managerial education at master level (MBA, EMBA etc.), or corresponding and demonstrable experience in leading product management departments in international environments etc.- At least 5 years' experience in leading product management departments for automated machines, equipments in the B2B environment, ideally in the area of intralogistics, material handling equipment or production and machinery- A proven track record in product planning, defining, and launching successful products and systems, unifying product portfolios, and designing standardized intralogistics systems- Project management certification in agile or predictive methodologies a plus- Very good English and German skills in level C1 in minimum- Experience in thought leadership in order to be better positioned to drive and inspire such important department and the sales and service organizations- Experience in bringing new products and product options successful to the market and making the sales and service teams love it- Highly skilled and functionally literate on latest product management techniques
- Experience with uncovering and translating stakeholders needs into relevant product requirements- Excellent teamwork skills coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills, a polite and approachable demeanor, and a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority- Strong creative thinking and brainstorming- Superior ability to synthesize diverse and complex information and data and design refined strategies and solutions and explain them to stakeholders- Ability to interact credibly within management and all levels of functional areas- High attention to detail- Deep understanding of the system design and solution engineering process- Ability to sketch ideas and concepts to communicate intent- High compe
