- The purpose of this role is to provide assurance in compliance with the laws and regulations in Data Privacy, Digital and Artificial Intelligence (AI) internally and externally. The incumbent represents Sandoz externally vis-à-vis regulators and industry associations and contributes to Sandoz’ business strategies. In alignment with Sandoz’ business objectives, the Global Head Data Privacy, Data & AI is setting the strategic and operational direction for the privacy, digital and AI compliance program(s) globally across the company. He/she establishes and maintains an effective compliance management system to provide effective risk identification, mitigation, and risk assurance, monitors the emerging trends in the areas of data privacy, digital and AI compliance and prepares the company accordingly. He/she leads and oversees the cross-divisional Data Privacy Compliance team and program through the Data Privacy Compliance Leadership team. Legal advice on Data Privacy matters is rendered by the respective function within the Legal organization of Sandoz.

- Position Sandoz as a responsible company in Data Privacy compliance by shaping and advocating public policy positions with internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor the emerging trends on Data Privacy, Digital and AI and prepares the company accordingly to be in compliance with respective laws and regulations
- Define and constantly review Sandoz’ Data Privacy compliance strategy and policy positions in light of regulatory changes and evolving business needs; contribute to Sandoz’ business strategy to reflect privacy, Digital and AI trends
- Develop and maintain an effective global Data Privacy compliance management system with strong focus on risk management and assurance standards (including allocation of financial and human resources) and foster implementation of privacy compliance programs in the Regions and Business Units
- Work closely with the respective Digital and AI function(s) within Digital/ IT to ensure implementation of the Digital and AI Compliance principles and regulations and support our strategic focus ion Data, Digital and AI
- Lead and manage the Data Privacy Compliance team and program through the Data Privacy Compliance, Digital and AI Leadership team
- Establish and monitor adherence to the privacy policy, guidelines, standards, and controls
- Collaborate closely with all peers at the Ethics, Risk and Compliance (ERC) Leadership Team and the whole ERC function, leveraging synergies wherever possible
- Establish and maintain close strategic and working relationship with the Legal Data Privacy advisors
- Assure that Top Management of Sandoz and the Board of Directors (Audit and Compliance Committee/Risk Committee) are properly informed about relevant issues and emerging trends
- Raise and further embed awareness of Data Privacy, Digital & AI Compliance topics within the organization
- Serves as global Data Privacy Officer

**Minimum requirements**

**What you’ll bring to the role**:

- University Degree in Compliance, Legal, HR, IT, or general management
- English full professional proficiency
- 10+ years of leadership experience in a multinational company managing large compliance topics, change and crisis, ideally with significant experience in a pharmaceutical/healthcare company, having acquired deep knowledge of global data privacy regimes
- Global leader with proven track record of managing complex compliance issues, setting Data Privacy, Digital and AI Compliance strategy in accordance with business needs, expert knowledge of privacy and data protection laws in the EEA and other regions and good understanding of Digital and AI
