Legal Counsel

In order to support the **Legal Affairs Germany Team **, Airbus is looking for a

**Legal Counsel (d/f/m) **:**located in **Hamburg **with a possible start date of **September **2024 **or later.**

**You will join our international overall team of more than 80 lawyers. In our Hamburg team we are eight highly motivated members including six Legal Counsel with a diverse background which is characterized by mutual support and a great team atmosphere. You will primarily provide legal advice on procurement contracts with the possibility to extend your practice to other legal domains including Digital **.**

**You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. **Your tasks and responsibilities**
- **You provide legal advice on procurement projects and contracts such as legal and strategic advice to project teams and management, negotiation of agreements, support to drafting of agreements and templates, analysis and advice on claims and pre-disputes in coordination with legal experts (Competition law, Intellectual Property, Export Control, Litigation) as well as other functions.**
- **You contribute to the adaptation of contracts and company processes to new legal developments and requirements.**
- **You provide legal trainings to internal stakeholders in liaison with other internal departments.**
- **You anticipate and identify legal risks deriving from projects, contracts or transactions and provide legal advices to mitigate such risks.**
- **You will be encouraged to diversify your experience over time by supporting different business areas, such as Digitalization, Customer Services or Corporate Law, in line with the strategic objectives of the Legal Department.**

**Desired skills and qualifications**
- **You finished your 2nd state examination as a lawyer (2. Staatsexamen) **and are fully qualified under German law.**
- **You have gained several years of relevant experience as in-house legal counsel or in a law firm.**
- **You are experienced in German commercial law as well as contract drafting and negotiation in an international context.**
- **You bring a profound understanding of the business environment with a good ability to think strategically.**
- **You have an analytical, proactive and pragmatic mindset with a problem solving attitude as well as the ability to deal with demanding deadlines while ensuring that the risks for Airbus are identified and minimized.**
- **You bring strong communication and negotiation skills combined with a team player attitude.**
- **Your German and English language skills are at negotiation level.**
- **Experience with IT/Digital legal matters is a plus.**

**If you fulfill all the requirements, you can expect a gross annual salary including variable remuneration of around €118,000.**

**This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.**
