**Junior Professor (W1) Animal Welfare and 3R**:
The Faculty of Medicine/Uniklinik RWTH Aachen is seeking a qualified person for teaching and research in the area of animal welfare and 3R. The starting date is as soon as possible. The professor position is within the Institute for Laboratory Animal Science. Aim of this junior professor position is the development of animal welfare aspects in Laboratory Animal Science as well as method development in “Severity Assessment”. This should further support the DFG Research Group FOR 2591 as well as the 3R Competence Network NRW.

Interdisciplinary scientific cooperation with other departments and clinics of the Medical School and with the research areas of the RWTH Aachen University including SFB TRR 219, SFB 1382, KFO 344, KFO 5011, GRK 2375, GRK 2415, GRK 2610, PAK 961, CIOABCD, JARA, IZKF AACHEN, with the Institute of Biomedical Technologies (IBMT) and with other technical disciplines are encouraged. In addition, an active commitment in the new medical student’s curriculum of the Medical Faculty (“Modellstudiengang Medizin Aachen”) and the master program “Laboratory Animal Science” is expected.
