**We seek**:

- In the Faculty IV: School of Science and Technology, Arbeitsgruppe für Vernetzte Automatisierungssysteme, we are looking for a academic councilor as of the nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt at the following conditions:
- Full-time position (equivalent 41 h / week)
- Permanent contract (as lifetime civil servant or public employee)
- Pay grade A13 LBesG NRW

**Your tasks**:
- Strategical and operational contributions as part of the chair’s management-
- Contributions to the chair's research-
- Supervision of doctoral students in research and teaching-
- Acquisition of third-party funds-
- Management of research projects and industry contracts-
- Networking with industrial and academic partners-
- Participation in academic self-administration-
- Supervision of student theses-
- Designing and delivering own courses covering 9 hours per week**Your profile**:
- Fulfillment of recruitment requirements - 44 Higher Education Act NRW in conjunction with - 45 Career Regulation NRW-
- Doctoral / ph.d. degree in the field of electrical engineering (or related disciplines)-
- Outstanding expertise in one or more of the following areas: power electronics, electrical drives, electrical machines, control engineering, machine learning for intelligent technical systems-
- Communicative team player with great creative drive to move things forward-
- Very good written and spoken English language skills (knowledge of German and other foreign languages is an advantage)-
- Desirable: experience in third-party funding acquisition and research management-
- Desirable: relevant scientific publications-
- Desired: experience in academic teaching-
- Desired: experience in practical engineering activities (hardware and/or software)**Our range of services**:
