**Deep Learning R&D Team**

BioID is a Nürnberg, Germany, based spin-off of the Fraunhofer Institute IIS and active in the biometrics industry for over 20 years. We develop state-of-the-art AI software as a service for remote identity verification and biometric fraud prevention.

For our Deep Learning team, we are looking for talented and highly motivated Researchers and Engineers along the DLOps spectrum with a hands-on mentality. We value a self-driven, goal-oriented and responsibility-taking attitude towards solving problems, eagerness to learn and a team-minded spirit. We employ a hybrid working model, enabling work from home where possible and physical presence where necessary or beneficial to achieve our targets.

**Working Student in Deep Learning **(M/F/d)**

You have touched on Machine Learning or Deep Learning in your studies, gained some first experiences and now want to dive deeper into the real deal, contributing to a team that delivers production-ready state of the art Deep Learning models? We have work packages for your side hustle that will make an impact in the real world and improve your game at the same time

**What do we need you for?**
- You provide research summaries on state-of-the-art Deep Learning methods.
- You prototype and benchmark different solutions.

**What are we looking for?**
- An appropriate background for Deep Learning or Machine Learning from your studies.
- Prior practical experience in Machine Learning or Deep Learning.
- Experience with Python and its ecosystem for Deep Learning and Computer Vision, ideally experience with Pytorch in particular.
- Curiosity, the desire to learn, and an autodidactic approach to research and implementation.
- The ability to learn and adapt fast and to filter the signal from the noise in a disruptive and fast-paced scientific environment.

Du hast dich im Studium mit Machine Learning oder Deep Learning auseinandergesetzt, erste Erfahrungen gesammelt und willst nun tiefer in die Praxis eintauchen und in einem Team mitarbeiten, das produktionsreife Deep Learning Modelle auf dem neuesten Stand der Technik liefert? Wir haben Aufgaben und Arbeitspakete für dich, die in der realen Welt etwas bewirken und bei denen du gleichzeitig viel lernen kannst

**Wofür brauchen wir dich?**
- Du machst Recherchen zu verschiedenen Deep Learning Methoden und fasst deine Ergebnisse zusammen.
- Du erstellst Prototypen und testest diese.

**Was bringst du idealerweise mit?**
- Einen entsprechenden Studienhintergrund für Deep Learning oder Machine Learning.
- Praktische Erfahrungen im Bereich Machine Learning oder Deep Learning.
- Erfahrung mit Python und dem Python Ecosystem für Deep Learning und Computer Vision, idealerweise inklusive Pytorch.
- Neugier, Lernbereitschaft und einen autodidaktischen Ansatz für Forschung und Implementierung.
- Auffassungsgabe, Anpassungsfähigkeit und die Fähigkeit das Signal aus dem Rauschen herauszufiltern, in einem disruptiven und schnelllebigen wissenschaftlichen Umfeld.
