**Our Position**:
In our fast-growing organization your focus as a Strategic Buyer is twofold:

- Set-up the supply chain and secure supply chain requirements for NPI (New Product Introduction) projects during the various phases in the Product Creation Process (PCP).
- Set up and maintain strategic supplier relationships for commodities such as (high-precision) mechanical components and electronics.

You liaise with many internal and external stakeholders like engineering, supplier quality, sales, and project management to understand and challenge the required QLTC performance levels of the customers and internal organization.

You also:

- Actively build-up and maintain supplier selections and optimize these relationships, focusing on the Central-Europe.
- Ensure procurement of all relevant parts (including operational set up and follow up in ERP system) with a QLTC optimized/negotiated performance level.
- Ensure ordering project specific parts in compliance with the validity of the offers and with the supplier lead-time.
- Keep track of supplier deliveries to ensure project specific parts come in according to plan and proactively communicate/manage discrepancies to the plan.
- Ensure that all project activities are in line with procurement and commodity strategy, where relevant.
- Validate material costs for the project and capture them accurately in the project budget.
- Keep track of material cost variances and escalate them to the project leader through the appropriate process (change request, etc.).
- Take care of the relevant reporting on procurement and specific project's KPIs.
- Preparing and negotiating about new and existing long-term purchasing contracts with (international) suppliers.
- You also participate in generic supplier programs (also for released products/projects).
- After finalization of the NPI project, transfer all parts towards operational organization.
- Participate actively in improvement of procurement related processes/methods, such as NPI procedures, templates, and contractual agreements.
- Occasionally, handle site procurement activities for indirect materials and/or services.

**Your Experience**:

- A Bachelor of Science (technical and/or business), preferably in the area of electronics or mechatronics
- Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in comparable function in supply chain management/procurement in the high-tech low volume industry, e.g. as commodity, project or strategic buyer.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and respective cost drivers.
- Extensive knowledge of ERP systems.
- MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of and /or experience with business processes and its challenges.
- Experience with supplier audits and assessments.
- Languages: German and English, both verbally and in writing.
- Prepared to travel for work.
