WHAT WE OFFER

In your new position, you will be part of a team of experienced in-house lawyers in the central legal department in Leverkusen and at the same time part of a global community of lawyers working for the Covestro Group.

The legal department is part of the functional area CFO (Chief Financial Officer), which manages the economic processes of our company.

Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You will advise and shape group-relevant issues in corporate law, including corporate governance and capital market law- You will advise on and shape the legal issues of financing and financing structure of the Covestro Group, in particular financing agreements- You will support the Group's affiliated companies and the preparation and conduct of the Annual General Meeting of Covestro AG- You will follow new and business-related legal developments at the legislative and judicial level, initiate and support the operational implementation at Covestro- You work directly and independently with the responsible departments of the Group- You will conduct contract negotiations with external contractual partners and represent or assist Covestro Group companies before authorities and (arbitration) courts- You are generally open to advising in legal matters of M&A and other related areas of law

WHAT YOU OFFER- You possess a distinguished legal education, having successfully completed both the German 1st and 2nd state examinations with above-average results. Ideally, you also hold a Ph.D. or a Master's degree- You bring several years of professional experience from working in the legal department of an industrial company or an international law firm- Your expertise lies particularly in corporate law, with a profound understanding of capital market law- You demonstrate exceptional communication and presentation skills, coupled with a structured and methodical approach to your work- Your high level of commitment, decisiveness, assertiveness, and flexibility allows you to tackle complex and challenging tasks effectively, especially within interdisciplinary teams, where you excel in fostering a cooperative working environment- You have a strong interest in entrepreneurial contexts- You are business fluent in both German and English
