The IPF-Institute of Biofunctional Polymer Materials is looking for a

PostDoc (M/F/d), 40 hours/week

to work on the project ‘CHIPIN - Tissue-engineering the tumour microenvironment to improve treatment of pancreatic cancer’.

Description:
We are looking for a PostDoc to work on deciphering the cellular and molecular interactions within the tumour microenvironment, with a focus
on the immuno-modulatory signature and stroma-targeting therapies in pancreatic cancer. The postdoctoral researcher will help lead efforts as
part of the PI’s funded ERC Consolidator Grant ‘CHIPIN’. The project involves 3D approaches that mimic the extracellular matrix, tissue compo
- search involves bioengineered 3D models, primary cell cultures, state-of-the-art multi-omics and microscopy techniques.

Your profile:
biomedical engineering, biotechnology, or a related field, as well as a PhD in this scientific area, with a record of peer-reviewed publications in
scientific journals. Applicants should have a documented expertise in 3D cell culture using hydrogels, flow cytometry, confocal microscopy,
isolation and characterisation of patient-derived cells and cancer-immune cell interactions. Prior postdoctoral experience is desired. Applicants
should have the legal right to work in the EU.

The scientist in this position is expected to work independently but collaboratively with other team members and other research groups. Well
- developed planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks, setting and meeting deadlines are essential. Knowledge
of confidentiality, privacy and information handling is desired. Excellent communication skills for scientific writing and discussions and proficiency
in English are mandatory.
