As the Interim Chief Operating Officer (COO) for our manufacturing company with operations in China and a global supply chain, you'll play a critical role in improving forecasting, production processes, quality control, and customer service. Your focus will be on driving operational excellence across the organization to optimize efficiency, enhance product quality, and elevate customer satisfaction levels, including repair services.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Operations Strategy**: Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business objectives, focusing on improving forecasting accuracy, production efficiency, quality control, and customer service.
- **Supply Chain Optimization**: Evaluate and optimize the global supply chain, including sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution, to minimize lead times, reduce costs, and improve inventory management.
- **Production Process Improvement**: Identify opportunities to streamline production processes, increase throughput, and reduce waste, leveraging lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- **Quality Assurance**: Implement robust quality control measures to ensure product quality meets or exceeds customer expectations, including rigorous inspection procedures and quality management systems.
- **Customer Service Enhancement**: Enhance customer service levels, including repair services, by implementing efficient processes, improving communication channels, and providing timely resolution of customer issues.
- **Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, supply chain, quality assurance, customer service, and finance, to align operational initiatives with business goals and priorities.
- **Performance Monitoring**: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track operational performance, monitor progress against targets, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- **Change Management**: Lead change management efforts to drive cultural transformation and ensure buy-in and engagement from employees at all levels of the organization.
- **Interim Leadership**: Provide interim leadership and guidance to the operations team, ensuring continuity and stability during the transition period.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven track record of success in senior leadership roles within the manufacturing industry, with a focus on operational excellence and process improvement.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, quality control, and customer service principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of operational issues and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in a global manufacturing environment, with knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive change in complex organizational structures.
