**Senior/Staff Product Designer**

Ever since 2014, Morressier has been helping a growing number of scientific and academic societies and publishers harness the power and scalability of the digital world to make scientific research more accessible. We facilitate the connecting of the thinkers and the curious, and the inquisitive amongst us, to discover, absorb and collaborate on research. We enable research across our platform from peer review workflows, virtual and hybrid conferencing, research libraries and integrity checks.

As we continue on our Series B hypergrowth we are looking for a hands-on Senior or Staff level Product Designer who will work cross-functionally to lead end-to-end product design for our Journals team to enable our users to accelerate scientific breakthroughs

**About the role**:

- Directly influence the quality and maturity of our products using your extensive research and design skills
- Work closely with a collaborative team of designers, product managers, engineers and industry experts in an agile data-driven process to solve real problems for our users.
- Translate business requirements and user research insights into brilliant solutions that define the researcher's experience interacting with the platform.
- Design new solutions to manage the research collection, integrity checks and publication processes.
- Iterate your designs through rapid prototyping and testing cycles to validate your hypotheses.
- Learn scientific research processes and publication management requirements and understand the scholarly industry and related business models.
- Be responsible for defining the user experience for a part of the platform in alignment with the general design direction.
- Lead customer workshop sessions, gaining and using insights to help shape the product direction.

**How to stand out**:

- You want to shape the future of scientific communication and collaboration
- You communicate clearly and convincingly
- You have at least 5 years of experience working as a user experience, product, or interaction designer, on agile cross-functional teams —ideally at a startup— to build great products and services
- You have a design portfolio that tells a clear and compelling story about your work history and extensive research and design skills
- Start-up experience, ideally in a SaaS business
- Design thinking, service design, and workshop facilitation experience
- Significant experience working with Figma, Miro, and online presentation tools
- Experience working directly with clients
- Experience creating design systems (advantageous)
