**Global Accounts Director** Daimler**
The Global Accounts Director for Daimler will have responsibility for VMware sales to one our most significant accounts. In this role you will be responsible for global consistency, engagement and relationships as well as revenue generation that exceeds defined targets. Your objective will be to maintain and expand a significant software and services footprint in one of the largest and most influential corporations worldwide. This will be accomplished by bringing to bear company resources: account teams, dedicated marketing, engineering resources and meaningful executive level involvement.
We're looking for someone able to set a Global Account strategy and direction that drives new VMware revenue to the next level
**Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?**
- Within 30 days, you will have the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the VMware offerings and get to know the entire VMware extended GAM team.
- Within 90 days, you will be comfortable building sales approaches on each of the different Sales Plays, as well as with day-to-day execution, and you will be able to bring your own style and experience to the table.
- From there you will have become a key member of the extended GAM team, and will be able to position VMware within the broader customer transformation strategy including their existing and partner ecosystem
**The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?**
- You'll need strong experience in technology sales with growing levels of responsibility
- Experience as a Global/Strategic Account Manager and an in-depth customer knowledge
- Proven experience leading in a matrix work environment
- Comfortable working with C level executives at Fortune 500 companies and building relationships throughout the organization
- Highly trusted individual who maintains and expects others to meet your high standards
- Solid business insight which appropriately balances creativity, entrepreneurship and risk taking
- Dynamic presenter who can translate technical thoughts to everyday language
**What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?**
The manager in charge of the team is Ingmar Benthien, Senior Director CEMEA Global Sales. He is based in Germany and joined VMware 6 years ago. He is passionate about people management, diversity and inclusion and the success of his team. The team culture is very international, open and collaborative.
