We are seeking a motivated person eager to get involved. In this role, you will gain complete experience in all aspects of corporate accounting, including:
Corporate- Propose, document, and implement new accounting processes and internal control procedures- Assist in integrating acquisitions into our systems and processes- Research, configure and test functionality in our ERP System- Provide general accounting support to the management team, and assist with ad hoc projects- Lead country specific statutory accounts, audit, and tax reporting requirements- Assist with treasury functions

Month End Close and General Ledger- Responsible for various month-end close processes, including:
- Review variances between actual and budget-
- Calculate and post accrued expense entries-
- Record payroll expense for various entities-
- Full balance sheet responsibility for one or more entities. Including reconciliations of cash, prepaids accrued expenses, and various other accounts- Compile support for our annual financial statement audit and respond to related ad hoc requests for support- Assist with international tax filings (VAT, GST, etc.), and work with an external, third-party sales and use tax service to ensure Sphera’s ongoing compliance

Accounts Receivable / Payable- Work with collections team to identify customer payment differences- Research and post customer cash receipts from various bank accounts- Review and approve vendor bills to ensure proper expense coding

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or equivalent working experience- CMA certificate, required (Bilanzbuchhalter)- NetSuite experience preferred- At least three years of work experience- Sound understanding of accounting principles- A desire to influence the direction of the accounting group through process documentation and improvement- A high level of attention to detail, and strong organizational skills- The ability to take ownership of issues across the accounting spectrum and see them through to completion- Fluent in English and German- Language skills in Polish or Hindi is a plus- As a start PT is possible
