The site has high-level expertise in both basic and translational activities in the field of neurodegenerative diseases.

Moreover, strong leadership experience, excellent networking skills and the ability and interest to represent the DZNE Tübingen in the DZNE network, the Helmholtz Association and in the scientific community are required. Active participation in joint (consortium) projects at the Tübingen site is expected.

The professorship is intended to participate in teaching within the Interfaculty Graduate Training Center of Neuroscience. The teaching commitment is two hours per week during the semester.

Parallel to this professorship, a W3-Professorship in Neurology with a Focus on Neurodegenerative Diseases at the Hertie Center for Neurology (HIH and Clinical
