- As a Demand Planner for Spare Parts, you'll play a key role in leading cross-functional team efforts to accurately forecast true demand for Canyon Business. This role ensures high quality and accuracy by generating forecasts, incorporating external and internal inputs into the forecasting process to serve customers in the marketplace. Building strong relationships with stakeholders, including Supply Chain, Business Intelligence and other international departments, is essential to guaranteeing exceptional customer experiences.**YOUR JOB AS PART OF THE CANYON CREW**:
- Drive a coordinated 24-month rolling demand forecasting process with the cross-functional team, focusing on mid to long-term growth opportunities for Canyon.
- Analyze historical trends, demand drivers, and interpret data from statistical models to create unbiased bottom-up forecasts for Spare Parts.
- Regularly update tools to optimize stock levels, review fast and slow-moving products, and identify countermeasures. Ensure timely communication of forecast changes to stakeholders.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improving the demand planning process. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, capable of identifying automation opportunities and scaling efforts.
- Ensure forecast consistency by building consensus between the Sales and Quality Team.
- Collaborate closely with the Supply Planning Team to provide them with the right inputs to deliver the required inventory levels to meet Customer Demand.
**HOW YOU BECOME PART OF THE RACE**:
- Educational level: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or similar.
- 3/4+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and/or Retail Planning.
- Passion for bikes and a willingness to learn about the cycling world and community.
- Self-starter attitude - capable of navigating ambiguous scenarios and driving proactive communication with stakeholders.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite and reporting/visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, SAP).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to translate data into meaningful insights and optimize the demand process.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
