THE POSITION

The MPI-M is now recruiting for THREE 2-year positions for

Scientific Programmer (W-0025 | all genders)

YOUR TASKS

The successful applicants will contribute to the re-factoring of the ICON modelling system as part of a large team across Germany and Europe. Applicants are sought with specific interests in (i) efficient implementation of the modelling system on Europe’s leading high-performance computing infrastructures (LUMI, JUPITER), (ii) refactoring ICON for scalable development.

YOUR PROFILE
- Excellent software engineering skills, with extensive programming experience
- Good communication and teamwork skills as well as the ability to work independently
- Proficiency in English and/or German
