Das Tätigkeitsfeld (Kurzbeschreibung des Projektes):
The InsuResilience Global Partnership was launched at the UN Climate Change Conference COP23 in Bonn in November 2017 and emerged from the G7 InsuResilience Initiative. The aim is to enable countries to react more quickly after a disaster and to better adapt to climate and disaster risks through the use of risk financing and insurance instruments. This will help poor and vulnerable people to strengthen their resilience over time.

The Partnership brings together the countries from the Global North and Global South, civil society, international organisations, the private sector and academia. The GIZ hosts the InsuResilience Global Partnership Secretariat which supports the multi-stakeholder partnership in outreach, governance and implementation activities.

The Partnership’s Secretariat supports the work of the members with communication, with a specific focus on social media, annual reporting and its own magazine as well as networking activities, for example its Annual Forum, a hybrid event bringing together key actors from the Partnership.

**Ihre Aufgaben**:

- Support the implementation of our communication and public relations strategy and products such associal media, newsletter, blogposts and a podcast)
- Support in the preparation of the InsuResilience Annual Forum 2023 as well as other virtual and/or hybrid events (e.g. COP 28 side events).
- Set up own social media ideas for communication of the InsuResilience Global Partnership
- Support in the processing of one of the thematic focal points of the secretarial work as well as the onboarding of new members and engagement with all members of the Partnership.
- Preparation and monitoring of internal meetings and meetings with members and partners.
- Supporting preparing the content and organisation of the regular meetings of the Partnership's strategic groups (e.g. High-Level Consultative Group).

**Ihr Profil**:

- Initial experience in topics such as adaptation to climate change, international climate policy or disaster risk managementis an advantage.
- Proven experience in the creation of communication material for social media, websites and/or print publications
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with external stakeholders
- Initial experience in event management (conferences, webinars etc.) is a strong asset.
- Very good MS Office skills. Graphic design software skills (e.g. Indesign, Canva) are an advantage
- Fluent in English. Good knowledge of German and good knowledge of another foreign language (preferably French or Spanish) is an advantage.
- Applicants have gained initial experience in developing or emerging countries (e.g. through internships, semesters abroad, etc.).
- Good self-organization and ability to work independently.
- High ability to work in a team and communication skills.
