**The Position**:

As a member of our corporate Sustainability Excellence and Reporting Team that oversees Boehringer Ingelheim’s sustainability strategy and non-financial disclosures, you will implement and help develop the Sustainability Strategy and Reporting Readiness CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy. This is a unique opportunity to be part of driving sustainability within our company and making a tangible difference in our world.

***Tasks & responsibilities**:

- In this role, you will be the driving force behind the development and implementation of a strategic sustainability reporting program that spans our entire company. You will ensure compliance with reporting regulations such as EU CSRD and EU taxonomy, meeting the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.
- You will strategically leverage the sustainability reporting program to further integrate sustainability into our core business. You will spearhead the development, improvement, monitoring, and optimization of Boehringer Ingelheim's Sustainable Development for Generations (SD4G) framework across all businesses and functions.
- Working closely with the Corporate Sustainability Officer and the Head of Corporate Sustainability Excellence and Reporting, you will translate the broader strategic sustainability direction into aligned, actionable, and concrete plans. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support the Head of Corporate Sustainability Excellence and Reporting, ensuring that the SD4G framework promotes performance, competitiveness, innovation, and creates shared value for Boehringer Ingelheim and society.
- You will work with the Corporate Sustainability Excellence and Reporting team both internally and externally to develop and monitor the execution of Sustainability initiatives and their societal impact. You will also continuously monitor global external stakeholder expectations and trends, keeping our company at the forefront of sustainability efforts.

***Requirements**:

- Master’s degree in Business Economics, Management or Sustainable Development or equivalent title, advanced degree strongly preferred (e.g. MBA, PhD or equivalent)
- Long-term working experience in a highly regulated industry, preferably Pharmaceuticals along with extensive experience across all areas of Sustainable Development
- In-depth understanding of international Sustainability regulations, frameworks, and reporting standards (e.g., EU CSRD, EU Taxonomy, LKSG, GRI, SASB, etc.)
- Non financial reporting experience preferred
- Comprehensive project management experience with track record of several successfully completed strategic projects
- Proven strategic and systematic thinking, together with a demonstrated ability to align sustainability and business strategy
- Experience in working with international and intercultural teams and businesses Excellent command of the English language required, German is a plus
