We are currently looking for a highly motivated Director Information Security (M/F/D) to join our team in Munich, Berlin or Meiningen. As a Director Information Security you lead and guide the Security Board and follow up on measures defined in the Security Board. As part of the "train the trainer" program you will enable members of the Security Board to become risk assessors, multipliers and promoters of security in their respective departments. Moreover, you will act as the Security Representative towards Federal Ministry of Economics ("Sicherheitsbevollmächtigte des Bundeswirtschaftsministeriums").

Principle duties and essential functions
- Ensure security is considered in all business activities (i.e. at entity, functional and process level)
- Identify and assess security risks
- Develop a security strategy which supports ADVA’s mission and strategic goals
- Develop, introduce and enforce security guidelines (security policy, standards and procedures)
- Support in the mitigation of security risks and ensure that the risk appetite set by the Vorstand is met
- Promote and train staff of all organizational layers in security (e.g. awareness trainings, training on policy and standards) and act as a change agent
- Review business practices with respect to compliance with security policy, standards and procedures, and applicable laws
- Ensure a functioning crisis management with clear roles, responsibilities and emergency procedures is in place which is regularly practiced/tested
- Ensure suppliers and service providers maintain security standards which align with ADVA’s security needs
- Further develop an ADVA ISMS (Information Security Management System), e.g. based on ISO 27000f.

Knowledge, skills and experience required
- Bachelor or Master with a major in Business Studies, Information Technology or similar
- Understanding of IT
- Good understanding of corporate structures and governance processes
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Leadership qualities including emotional intelligence
- Fluent English speaker with excellent ability to communicate verbally and in writing
- Strong communication skills
- Good report writing skills
