**The team you'll be part of**
You will work as a member of the hardware development team in our Optics R&D Center on the Air Campus in Nuremberg. **What you will learn and contribute to**
We are currently looking for highly motivated professionals to join our team, who possess a solid understanding of electric design and layout tools to shape the future of optical data transmission. As PCB Expert and Board Layouter in hardware development you will be part of the hardware development team in Nuremberg, embedded in a worldwide Optical Research and Development organization.
Are you passionate about solving problems? As part of our team of experienced professionals, you will:
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team to develop leading edge new products
- Work within a structured PCB design process framework with flexibility and adaptability for fluid design requirements
**Your skills and experience**
You should have
- Bachelor or Technician Degree in Electrical Engineering
- PCB design experience in product development using Siemens/Mentor Xpedition Enterprise for PCB Layout and CES.
- Xpedition Designer tool experience for schematic entry, editing, hierarchical reuse blocks.
- Experience in PCB technology and PCB stack-up definition to meet ultra-high speed PCB design requirements
- Experience in DFM reviews with PB suppliers
- Strong interest in supporting people and in collaboration with international partners
- Good communication skills
- German & English both spoken and written.
It would be nice if you specifically had experience in the following areas:
- Visual Basic scripting in EDA context Experience in ECAD PCB design engineering including interfacing with many different engineering groups (Layout Designers, Electrical, Mechanical, ICT, DFM and ECAD library)**What we offer**
