apoQlar is the developer of a medical mixed reality platform that is revolutionizing how medicine is practiced, experienced, learned, and shared. VSI HoloMedicine® is a medically certified software platform that leverages the Microsoft HoloLens hardware to transform medical images, clinical workflows, and medical education into an interactive 3D mixed reality environment.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as Research Grants and Funding Specialist (M/F/d). The role of a Research Grants and Funding Specialist is crucial for our business, as you are responsible for developing and implementing groundbreaking ideas that differentiate the company from competitors and ensure long-term growth. Their ability to identify trends, cooperate with cross-functional teams, and enrich the company's strategy with creative solutions makes the Research Grants and Funding Specialist a key player in shaping the future of our the business. You will work hand in hand with our Head of Science (HoS) to support our exciting R&D/clinical projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Identifying suitable funding programs globally for the company's research and development (R&D) and clinical projects.
- Manage activities for the recruitment of third-party funding, including writing and coordinating grant proposals.
- Manage and oversee research projects, including support and coordination with external partners to ensure timelines and development/project milestones are achieved.
- Manage administrative tasks, including budget calculations, administration, and preparation, as well as coordination of project meetings.
- Build networks and relationships with external partners to create synergies and facilitate access to new technologies and research ideas.
- Conduct (systematic) literature research in relevant databases (e.g., PubMed, IEEE) to analyze clinical evidence for VSI HoloMedicine®.
- Work closely with various teams and departments to ensure the smooth execution of projects.

**Your Profile**:

- Master’s degree in the field of life sciences (e.g, biomedical engineering, medicine, or a comparable field)
- Project management experience, preferably in the field of research
- Proficiency in grant proposal writing and third-party funding.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate within interdisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge in systematic literature search (PubMed, IEEE) and scientific writing
- Fluency in German and English is mandatory.
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & reference Manager (Endnote, Refworks)
- Experience with medical device as a software is a huge plus
- Excellent communication skills, hands-on mentality, pragmatism, and proactivity.
