Training Instructor

**Duties**:

- Responsible for the administration, safe operation, custody, and maintenance of the self-help program within the auto crafts center.
- Provides technical assistance/training to patrons in the performance of self help automotive repairs ranging from the simple to the more complex automotive including overhaul of engines and transmissions, and bodywork.
- Informs patrons of shop policies and provides instruction on safe and efficient operation of all equipment and associated tools.
- Provides individual and class instruction to military personnel and other eligible patrons.

- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.

**Qualifications**:

- Demonstrated ability and experience, or education to perform the duties of the position.**Highly Preferred**:
Experience in Automotive Skills, or Automotive repair, Automotive Certifications, Welding, and or vehicle HVAC Systems.

**Education**:
This position does not have an education requirement.

**PCS Costs**
- Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.

**Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differential**s
- This is a pay-banded position.
- Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. **_If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay._** When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
- Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.

**Foreign Overseas Allowances**
- Allowances, differentials, or incentives will not be paid. Post Allowance only will be paid.
