For our client a start-up company located in Berlin we are looking for a Head of Sales.
Our client redefines the landscape with a cutting-edge in-house DSP (Demand-Side Platform) that stands out for its unparalleled transparency and the empowering force of artificial intelligence.
The platform they designed is to simplify the process for app developers, enabling them to easily understand, identify, and communicate with their users."
Below please find more information about the position.
**Experience**:
- A minimum of 6 years of successful experience in SaaS sales, with a focus on the programmatic advertising ecosystem and startup environments.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role as Head of Sales or Sales Team Lead.
**Languages**:
- Fluent in English (mandatory).
- Proficiency in German or any other European language is a plus.
**Location**:
- Based in Berlin or open to relocating.
**Markets**:
- Proven experience in running sales in an international/European environment is essential.
**Results-Oriented**:
- Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
**Revenue Focus**:
- Ability to forecast revenue and implement strategies to achieve set targets.
**Strategic Planning**:
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills to develop sales strategies and go-to-market plans.
**Industry Knowledge**:
- In-depth understanding of programmatic advertising, digital advertising trends, and the broader advertising technology landscape.
- Familiarity with ad tech platforms, DSPs, SSPs, Ad Networks, and tools commonly used in programmatic advertising, especially competitors.
**Team Leadership**:
- Proven experience leading and managing a sales team to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Ability to motivate sales professionals for high-performance results.
**Performance Execution**:
- Capability to identify underperformance in the team and individual team members.
**Communication Skills**:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex advertising solutions effectively.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to influence and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
**Market Insight**:
- Ability to identify market opportunities, trends, and potential clients in the programmatic advertising space.
- Continuously maintain and develop market and competitor knowledge.
**Responsibilities**:
- Leading a team of 4 BDMs, ensuring they achieve sales targets.
- Monitor ongoing point-of-sale activities and implement rapid solutions to achieve business objectives.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and revenue projections.
- Develop a comprehensive sales plan and establish targets and KPIs for the sales team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize revenue opportunities and execute go-to-market strategies.
- Assess client needs, tailor advertising solutions, and identify and solve client challenges.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities using data and analytics.
- Manage the sales department's budget and resources effectively.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the sales team's skills.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build brand presence.
