Supervisory Marketing Specialist

**Duties**:
Responsible for cording the production of monthly magazine and any base newspaper supplements. Maintains publicity items on installation monitors/television, marquees, computer and online social and internet-based media as required.
Reviews all written publicity materials and artwork for grammatical errors, proper punctuation, formatting and readability.
Selects and organizes pertinent information for inclusion in a variety of communications, publications and promotional materials.
Meets regularly with activity managers to gather and validate information for print, ensuring that published information is current, accurate and ready to disseminate.
Produces and edits written materials targeted to specific audiences in a clear and interesting manner for accuracy, consistency with agency policies, clarity and style requirements.
Photographs squadron events for historical use or use in publications or presentations.
Maintains schedules, calendars and monthly draft schedule of squadron special programs, events and hours of business operations for management's review before finalizing.
Provides input into the design and layout of promotional artwork. Determines, obtains and coordinates support for printing and distribution of final materials.
Manages office communication, to include, marketing requests submitted by activity managers.
Responsible for priorities and deadlines and provides guidelines on purpose and uses of written materials.
Acts as equipment custodian for office automation, administrative, production, printing, computer and communication equipment and supplies.
Coordinates with base and local community agencies as required. Acts of Privacy Act monitor to ensure compliance with all related laws for publications, documents and items generated through or by the Marketing office.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Develops annual budget and resource requirements to meet program objectives. Monitors subordinate function of all phases of sponsored events and programs and issues follow-up reports to the appropriate authority.
Manages commercial sponsorship, commercial advertising and customer feedback.

- **Qualifying Experience**:
Experience communicating effectively both oral and in writing. Deals with the public. Experience scheduling, publicizing and evaluating the effectiveness of on-going programs and activities. Must have experience in computers including software such as MS Office suite, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver) to perform work. Requires knowledge of proper spelling, grammar and punctuation. Skill in digital photograph skill, styling shoots, shooting, photo retouching and enhancement is highly desirable. Must have communication skills to convey accurately information to a variety of audiences and have experience meeting production deadlines under pressure. Skill and ability editing material to improve delivery without losing original meaning. Through knowledge of marketing, advertising, or related field.
**Education**:
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
