**Duties**:
The Criminal Investigative Aide is actively involved in the investigative aspects of the IRS-CI Office which is the criminal investigation arm of the IRS. One of the functions of the Office of the Attaché in Germany and Area of Responsibility (AOR) countries is to support the needs of IRS-CI Special Agents in the U.S. The Criminal Investigative Aide is frequently called upon to provide advice on the political situation in Germany, Europe and AOR countries, research and gather information relative to ongoing investigations in the U.S. that have ties to Germany, Europe and AOR countries. Assisting with money laundering research analysis for the IRS-CI mission. The Criminal Investigative Aide serves as resource for the IRS-CI Mission in criminal investigations.

**Qualifications and Evaluations**:

- Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of prior work experience as investigative assistant or investigative aide, or equivalent including knowledge in dealing with law enforcement, regulatory and/or tax agencies, as well as protocol activities are required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must be proficient in the use of personal computers, investigative analysis, word processing software such as Microsoft Office programs/software. Must have excellent written and oral skills. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must have accounting and computer skills.

Mandatory:
Two (2) years of university education in Political Science, International Relations, Business Administration, Accounting, Criminology, Law, or related fields.
