Junior Biology Scientist

In Konstanz we focus on driving our client’s drug discovery projects through hit identification and hit-to-lead optimization. We establish cellular, biochemical, and biophysical assays and deliver high-quality results from high-throughput screening (HTS), hit validation and compound profiling.

**Junior Biology Scientist**:
Driven by growing business demand, Axxam GmbH is rapidly expanding in size and capabilities, and we are now seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Biology Scientist to join our dynamic research team.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare laboratory materials, reagents, and automation equipment for experiments in collaboration with a project lead and senior scientist.
Contribute to optimization and execution of cellular and biochemical assays and the implementation of HTS campaigns in collaboration with other team members.
Independently design and carry out experiments and record experimental activities in lab journals in a timely manner.
Prepare and analyze accurate experimental results in Excel and PowerPoint for clients. Communicate experiment progress, findings, and challenges during team meetings.
Manage and organize procurement of laboratory material and instrumentation.
Stay updated on relevant scientific literature and advancements in the field of biology.
Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications and Personality Characteristics

Bachelor’s degree in biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
Strong theoretical and practical understanding of fundamental interdisciplinary concepts.
Hands-on experience with laboratory techniques, equipment, and protocols.
Familiarity with data analysis tools and software.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Solid oral and written English language skills. German beneficial.
