Senior Legal Counsel

We're looking for a motivated and driven **Senior Legal Counsel (m/w/d)** **Vertragsrecht** with a focus on the FlixTrain railway business who will help us shape our team, drive the company to the next level, and have the most direct influence on our success.
**Your Tasks - Paint the world green**:
- You work within the headquarter legal department in a team concentrating on the legal support for the FlixTrain Business and participate in shaping the future development of this business sector.
- You independently manage legal support for the execution of complex expansion projects, particularly in areas such as Asset Management, Financing, Real Estate, Maintenance, Procurement.
- You are involved in projects which touch multiple simultaneous legal streams (finance, procurement, maintenance, real estate, rail regulatory requirements ,etc.).
- You advise and assist in topics related to the Steady State Transition Trainpool of projects, including handling disputes and adjustment requirements with potential legal escalation.
- You provide legal advise and analysis to management in relation to strategic decisions.
- You handle complex legal considerations and contracts and gracefully navigate multi-layered negotiations.
- You collaborate closely with internal teams across the group and external legal advisors and consultants to ensure effective and efficient legal support.
- You will work within and together with highly motivated teams who aim to shape the future of the company.
**Your Profile - Ready to hop on board**:
- You are a fully qualified lawyer with a degree in law.
- You have at least 5 years of practical working experience in a law firm and/or an in-house position.
- You ideally have experience in industry-related environments, particularly in railway transportation, asset financing or real estate projects
- You have strong and fast analytical skills and commercial understanding.
- You are comfortable with complex legal and commercial structures, as well as contract drafting and negotiation.
- You can work autonomously while delivering and executing against ambitious timelines
- You are comfortable in a startup environment: with entrepreneurial spirit, full of ambition, analytically-minded, and not afraid of fast moving change
- You are fluent in English and German
