**The Position**:
TMCP DS's mandate is to enhance disease understanding by maximizing knowledge generation from data through integrative and holistic data analyses and to collaborate with our neighboring functions in decision making for clinical development programs.

As a member of the Clinical Bioinformatics and Systems Pharmacology team you will contribute to our drug development teams, engage with stakeholders and interact in a highly interdisciplinary environment with colleagues from biomarkers, bioinformatics, pharmacometrics, clinical pharmacology, as well as medicine and research.

Become part of our team and make an important contribution to the effectiveness and safety of drugs, a deeper understanding of disease mechanisms and the selection and characterization of biomarkers

This position can be filled in Ingelheim or Biberach.

This position is limited for 2 years.

**Tasks & responsibilities**:

- Your analyses will support our clinical programmes and help further advance the understanding of pharmacological activity, efficacy and safety.
- Moreover, you will analyze, integrate, visualize and interpret complex large-scale data sets like (multi-)omics, imaging, or potentially digital biomarkers.
- Based on your analyses you will support internal decision making, you will further advance disease and biomarker understanding as well as contribute to successful approvals.
- You will ensure the timely delivery of respective data analysis documents (e.g., dataset specification, analysis plans, and reports) and documents that you co-author (e.g., clinical development plans).
- In collaborating closely with other disciplines, you will support internal as well as external initiatives and working groups with your bioinformatics and data science expertise.
- Furthermore, you will contribute to external clinical research collaborations and establish/maintain contacts in the field of clinical bioinformatics and data sciences.

**Requirements**:

- Ph.D. or master’s degree in bioinformatics, data sciences with a focus on life sciences, molecular biology, or related field with experience in the field of bioinformatics and the analysis of complex data sets
- Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry and in clinical drug development paired with knowledge on regulatory guidelines is a plus
- Solid knowledge in the advanced analysis of complex data sets and their interpretation, e.g. using R or python on a high performance cluster or cloud computing environment
- Strong team player, who is able to successfully act in a global and remote context
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact internally as well as externally and the ability to pro-actively identify issues and share solutions are a pre-requisite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
