**Duties**:

- Serve as the alter ego to the District Superintendent, fully sharing the duties, responsibilities and operations of the assigned District Office or District Field Office.
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned district or field office staff and school administrators.
- Provide leadership and support to core curriculum programs as well as special education, continuous school improvement/Accreditation, and professional development.
- Provide policy guidance and professional leadership to encourage achievement of the highest possible level of educational excellence.
- Work with officials of the service commands to ensure the educational programs meet the needs of students in the area and recommend changes or improvements to the District Superintendent.
- Monitor operating budget, staffing allocations, and financial plans as needed to ensure that approved educational services are provided.

- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.

- Two year trial or probationary period may be required.
- Two year supervisory probation period may be required.
- This position requires a Tier 3 (T3) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age.
- This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- You will be required to sign a mobility agreement, be available for worldwide placement, and be willing to rotate to any DoDDS or DDESS location.
- Individuals hired from the Continental United States (CONUS) and their family members (who are US citizens) are required to obtain Official Passports prior to departure to the overseas area.
- A secret security clearance is required.
- To ensure compliance with an applicable preliminary nationwide injunction, which may be supplemented, modified, or vacated, depending on the course of ongoing litigation, cont.
- The Federal Government will take no action to implement or enforce the COVID-19 vaccination requirement pursuant to Executive Order 14043 on Requiring Coronavirus Disease 2019 Vaccination for Federal Employees.
- Therefore, to the extent a Federal job announcement includes the requirement that applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 pursuant to Executive Order 14043, that requirement does not currently apply.
- Federal agencies may request information regarding the vaccination status of applicants for the purposes of implementing other workplace safety protocols, such as protocols related to masking, physical distancing, testing, travel, and quarantine.

**Education**: Master's degree (or higher degree) in educational administration, including 60 hours of graduate credit, with not less than 30 semester hours of graduate credit in professional education coursework, educational administration, curriculum development, educational philosophy and educational supervision.**OR**

**Master's degree (or higher degree**) that included 60 hours of graduate credit, with not less than 30 semester hours of graduate credit in professional education coursework, educational administration, curriculum development and educational supervision.**AND**AND**

**Specialized Experience**:Specialized Experience: 3 years of specialized experience in a staff or supervisory position which clearly demonstrated the ability to administer school educational programs and to effectively supervise educators and support personnel. At least 1 year of specialized experience must be at a level equivalent to the next lower level. For a Supervisory Education Program Administrator (Community Superintendent), the next lower level is defined as a school principal or a position with similar duties and responsibilities. (Note: No more than 1 year of experience in positions that did not involve actual school or educational program administration will be credited as specialized experience.)

**Education**:
**Foreign Degrees and Course Work from Non-accredited Institutions.** Credits or degrees earned from a foreign college or university must be evaluated prior to acceptance. Three evaluation procedures are acceptable:
