Duties will include but are not limited to:

- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
- Review and approve journal entries, invoices, and other accounting transactions.
- Coordinate and lead with Regulatory accountant external audits, ensuring timely completion and compliance with audit requirements.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, assisting with training, problem-solving, and complex accounting issues.
- Monitor and analyse financial data, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and management, to support business objectives and initiatives.
- Stay current with accounting regulations and best practices, making recommendations for process improvements and compliance enhancements.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, ACCA or related field required.
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with a track record of developing and guiding junior staff.
- Commitment to integrity, ethics, and professionalism in all aspects of work.

**Preferred, but not Necessity**:

- Experience in the Gaming Industry would be considered an asset.
- Preferably proficient in XERO.
