The **Institute for Molecular Cardiovascular Research -AG-Jankowski-** is looking for a
**PhD student (f/m/d) biology / biotechnology / human biology / molecular medicine / chemistry / biochemistry or equivalent**:
The part-time position (25,03 h./week) starts as soon as possible and is funded till 31.12.2025 although a prolongation up to three years.
**Job Requirements and responsibilities**
- Performing of the experiments planned for project S-03 as part of the TRR219 consortium
- Data analysis and presentation in regular internal group meetings and in regular consortium meetings
- Actively participating in the design of experiments and adjusting project plans according to the results obtained
- Standard good laboratory practice and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Data Management
- Participating in the publication of data at national and international meetings and preparation of project related manuscripts
- Purification of patient samples
- Mass spectrometric analysis
- Imaging mass spectrometry
**Required academic qualification**
- Applicants should have a Master's degree (MSc) in Natural Sciences or equivalent in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or closely related field
- High level of spoken and written English is required (Level C1)
**Applicants are expected to**
- Have experience with standard molecular biology techniques. Beeing experienced in chromatographic, as well as mass spectrometric methods is an advantage
- Have basic knowledge of kidney and heart physiology
- Critically analyze own data and consider necessary controls for validation experiments
- Actively participate in scientific discussions about own projects and projects of other colleagues
- Skilled in the use of standard data and word processing software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
