**Job Description**:

- Act as compliance specialist and GDPR lead and support our Legal and Compliance and other departments in all day-to-day operations and project-related tasks
- Analyze legal developments in data protection law and consult the business in their implementation
- Manage data protection relevant documents (e.g. Records of Processing Activities) and review and negotiate data protection contracts (e.g., Data Processing Agreements)
- Help to implement data protection policies and oversee operationalization, e.g., by setting up guidelines and internal rules concerning data protection governance, and find ways to optimize privacy-related company processes
- Collaborate closely with our Legal Counsels, Director Data Protection, external Data Protection Officer and the department leadership
- Develop and hold regular data protection trainings for management and staff members

**Qualifications**:

- Completed university degree in law or business law, ideally with a focus on data protection or IT law. Admission to the Bar is an advantage
- In-depth knowledge of German and European data protection law (e.g., GDPR, German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and German Telecommunications Telemedia Data Protection Act (TTDSG)) and its practical implementation
- Around 2-5 years professional experience in the field of governance, risk and data protection compliance, preferably in a larger organization and international environment
- Affinity for IT processes and digitalization topics
- Proven track record of analyzing workflows/ processes/systems and effectively documenting them to clearly and concisely articulate issues
- Solution and risk-oriented, pragmatic counselling style
- Excellent understanding of procedural contexts and corporate interests
- A passion for generating transparency and solving problems
- Confident appearance, strong communication skills and assertiveness. Ability to communicate appropriately to different target groups
- Fluency in Business English and German, both written and spoken, is mandatory, further languages are a plus
