UP42 is changing the way geospatial data is accessed and analyzed. Our developer platform and marketplace bring together multiple sources of data such as satellite imagery, weather data, and more—with algorithms to identify objects, detect change, and find patterns. Industry leaders use UP42 to inform business decisions and build scalable customer solutions.

We are looking for a** Working Student - Technical Writer (M/F/x)** to join our motivated team in Berlin.

As a Technical Writer, you’ll be part of the Customer Success team. Our goal is to create effective documentation that promotes self-service among users. The focus of this position is on collaboration with stakeholders and SMEs from other teams. The key to success is the ability to quickly understand the UP42 product, summarize complex technical processes into simple user guides, as well as strong technical writing skills.

**About the role**:

- Update internal documentation to ensure all major tasks for the Operations team and the Documentation team are covered
- Working with the Marketing team, establish a process for updating existing marketplace descriptions of collections and blocks, as well as aligning on the ones being released
- Gain the necessary product and terminology expertise to be involved in the UX writing process with the Design team
- Collaborate with the Integrations team and partly handle documenting new methods and parameters for new SDK version releases
- Create step-by-step user tutorials to support new console feature releases

**About you**:

- Excellent English writing skills (at least C1 level)
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program
- Knowledge of API, Git, and Markdown
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work 20 hours per week during a semester and 40 hours per week during a break

**What makes you stand out**:

- Passion for a simple style of technical writing
- Working knowledge or background in geospatial science (remote sensing, GIS, GPS)
- Experience with Python and Swagger
- Comparable experience in creating technical documentation in your current or previous roles
